I came from lululemon.
Specifically the Pace Breaker. Great short - no complaints. It did exactly what it promised and I wore it constantly through warmer months.
Then I found the Vuori Kore Short.
Not because I was looking for a replacement. Just because it kept showing up in the right places and eventually I paid attention.
Glad I did.
Here's what makes the Kore Short different.
It doesn't look like a workout short when you're not working out.
I missed a back pocket. The Kore Short has one.
That sounds simple. It isn't. Most performance shorts telegraph exactly what they are - compression, reflective details, mesh panels. Fine for the gym. Less fine for everything else.
The Kore Short just looks like a well-made short. Lightweight, clean lines, quality fabric, moves right. Nobody knows whether you just came from a run, hike, cycle, yoga class or you're heading to grab coffee.
That versatility is the whole game in summer.

A few things worth knowing before you buy.
It comes lined and unlined - worth deciding upfront based on how you're wearing it. Lined for workouts and active use. Unlined if it's primarily a casual summer short.
The 7" inseam is the right call. Long enough to look intentional, short enough to move freely. Don't overthink it.
On colorways - I have it in both solid and the limited edition scribble pattern. Vuori adds new solid colors on a regular basis so there's plenty to choose from.
The lululemon Pace Breaker is still in use and a great short.
But the Kore is what I reach for now.
All summer. Every active pursuit. One short that handles all of it.
That's a hard thing to find.
