About
Before greystr I spent years as a department store buyer and personal stylist.
I'm a product-centric guy, and have handled enough to know the difference between what's well made and what's well marketed.
And I've resold enough pre-owned outdoor gear online to know which brands actually hold up and which ones don't.
That's the lens everything here gets filtered through.
At some point the market just stops talking to you.
Not all at once. Gradually. The content gets generic. The recommendations get safe. The brands that used to feel relevant start feeling like they're aimed at someone younger, someone different, someone who isn't you.
I got tired of waiting for someone else to fix it.
greystr is what I built instead.
The name comes from two places.
Grey - not the retirement kind, but the early grey. The signal that you've been somewhere, learned something, and arrived at a point of view worth having.
And str...a nod to hipster, to the guy who stayed curious, stayed sharp, never got the memo that style and living had an expiration date.
greystr isn't for a specific age. It's for a specific mindset. You'll know if it's yours.
